A Formal Record of What We Hold, and Why
A Safe Keeping Receipt (SKR) is a formal custody document issued by TRADE KEY (SL) LTD confirming that a specific parcel of gold or diamonds is held in our custody — typically while it undergoes assay, grading, verification or the wider steps of facilitating a sale — under agreed, secure conditions.
The SKR records the essential particulars of the consignment: description, quantity, independently verified weight, purity or carat value, our reference number, and the terms under which it is held. It gives a seller or buyer a documented, verifiable record they can rely on for their own records or for a financing or lending discussion — always subject to the underlying agreement between the parties, and without TRADE KEY (SL) LTD acting as a party to that agreement.

An SKR issued by TRADE KEY (SL) LTD confirms custody and the terms it is held under — it is not itself a certificate of authenticity, an assay report or a government licence. Grading, assaying and Kimberley Process certification are carried out by the relevant licensed and accredited bodies; our team can confirm which apply to a specific consignment on request.
